Alright, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Median household income is $145,875, which feels pretty solid for the area. The median home value here is around $596,700, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,344/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a teacher who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Lots of new development happening
Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is pretty good.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. No regrets on my end..
