Is it worth buying in East Millinocket?

Hello, My family moved here when I was a kid. Homes are going for about $73,900 on average. Household incomes average around $44,306 in East Millinocket. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Let me know your thoughts.

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Oak Park area are decent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in The Heights for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The job market scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Lakewood. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in tech. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Definitely worth checking out..
