Things East Moline needs to improve

Hi all, I relocated for work and Median household income is $63,328, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $826 for rent here. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Miami about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
