Working in East Peoria -salaries realistic?

Curious what people think. Just moved here 16 months ago and Rent is about $894/month for a decent place. With a population of 22,485, East Peoria is a small town. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a chef and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is average and there's always something going on.
