Pros and cons of East Point after 11 years

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $58,983, which feels about average for the area. You can expect to pay around $1,314 for rent here. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 5.8%, which is about average. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much wild but now it's excellent.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much growing but now it's solid.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from Dallas about 6 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is decent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..
