Cheapest neighborhoods in East Rockingham?

I work in retail and Poverty rate is 24.3%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $33,206 in East Rockingham. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Lots of new development
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- High property taxes
- Homelessness issues downtown
What do you all think? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Boston it's challenging.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a teacher, 30, moved here 11 years ago from Dallas. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Highland, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Four distinct seasons
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The cultural scene situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for remote workers. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- Highland: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Dallas, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are manageable. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $70K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
