Day-to-day life in East Rutherford, NJ

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a 43-year-old chef and Homes are going for about $453,500 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,867 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 10,154 people. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

Pros:
- Affordable cost of living
- Friendly people
- Low taxes
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Limited nightlife
- Poor road conditions
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
