Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 9,278, East Stroudsburg is a small town. You can expect to pay around $1,375 for rent here. Poverty rate is 9.8%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What do you all think? The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
