Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Boston it's underrated.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The nightlife scene is improving

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely tough and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Eastside) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Dating scene is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely improving and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (West) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Dallas, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I work in real estate here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is tough. Definitely worth checking out..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are surprisingly good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Atlanta about 2 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are competitive, gas is average.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
