First time home buyer in Eastchester

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 20,519, Eastchester is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -Eastchester sits at 223.7 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What would you do?

Came here for school and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The dating scene is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
