Is Eastchester worth moving to in 2026?

Been meaning to ask this. You can expect to pay around $2,273 for rent here. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much pricey but now it's challenging.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Minneapolis about 10 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are manageable, gas is tough.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..
