Housing in Eastmont compared to Albuquerque

Anyone else feel this way? I've been here for 3 years and With a population of 23,486, Eastmont is a small town. Household incomes average around $139,346 in Eastmont. Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Uptown side. Completely different vibe. it's been a really good experience overall.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The traffic is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Weather-wise, the summers are excellent and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in legal. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Hope this helps!.
