What's it really like living in Eatontown?

I'm a 22-year-old accountant and It's a a small town city with about 13,537 people. Homes are going for about $454,300 on average. With a population of 13,537, Eatontown is a small town. Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Minneapolis about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
