First post here. I'm single, late 20s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Eau Claire sits at 276.0 per 100K. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
