Anyone else feel this way? I'm a remote worker and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The median home value here is around $59,400, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $59,400 on average. With a population of 9,170, Ecorse is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
