Grocery stores in Ecorse -recommendations?

First post here. Thanks! It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in retail. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Nashville about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The housing market is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
