Eden housing prices -when will it stop?

Longtime lurker here, I'm single, late 30s, and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $816/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Houston about 11 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..
