Housing market in Edgerton right now

Random thought, I'm originally from Tucson and Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks for reading. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I'm a accountant and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 29, moved here 1 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Greenfield and Riverside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally underrated - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The housing market situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Greenfield: Great for families. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Riverside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..
