Remote worker thinking about Edgewater
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and With a population of 14,544, Edgewater is a small town. It's a a small town city with about 14,544 people. Poverty rate is 4.7%, which is pretty low. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
