Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Seattle and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Poverty rate is 7.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Edgewood sits at 324.6 per 100K. Rent is about $938/month for a decent place. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.
