Anyone else feel this way? Military spouse here. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. The suburbs are where most families end up. Let me know your thoughts. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've lived in Downtown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cost of living scene is decent
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
