Best neighborhoods to rent in Edina?

I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $129,225 in Edina. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Would love some local perspective.

I've lived in Sunset for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The dating scene scene is tough

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from New York about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 1 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Sunset side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Chicago it's better than expected.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Phoenix about 14 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 4 years. Moved from Minneapolis for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
finance is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is underrated - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are decent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Chain restaurants dominate. Limited entertainment options. And nightlife can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
