Is Edina still affordable?

Anyone else feel this way? Crime rate is something to consider -Edina sits at 88.6 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 53,125 people. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs?

I've lived in Westside for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The weather scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..
