First post here. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Rent is about $968/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Chain restaurants dominate
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are growing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Happy to answer more specific questions..
