Dog-friendly places in Edinburg?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 45-year-old HR manager and You can expect to pay around $968 for rent here. It's a a mid-size city city with about 103K people. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do?

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.
