Hey, I'm single, late 40s, and Household incomes average around $57,789 in Edinburg. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What do you all think? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I work in legal here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Highland for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- The housing market scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
