So, I work in government and Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much affordable but now it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in government. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
