Is it worth buying in Edmonds?

Hi all, I grew up here but left for a while. With a population of 42,783, Edmonds is a smaller city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Sunset. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
