Is Edwards walkable?

So, I'm a teacher here and It's a a small town city with about 10,415 people. Average temperature is around 38--F, so bundle up in winter. With a population of 10,415, Edwards is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What are your go-to spots? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Used to live on the Eastside side, now on the West side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from San Francisco about 11 years ago. The main reasons were school and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Property taxes are high

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
