Why I chose Eggertsville over bigger cities

Been meaning to ask this. Born and raised here. Median household income is $82,359, which feels pretty solid for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in Riverside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options
- The walkability scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Not very walkable outside downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
