Best apartments in Egypt Lake-Leto under ?

Random thought, I'm single, late 50s, and The median home value here is around $296,100, which seems about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,709 people. Rent is about $1,424/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The nightlife is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 45, moved here 13 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in Downtown and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good internet infrastructure
2. Close to major attractions
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally pretty good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The safety situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for remote workers. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $50K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
