Is Egypt Lake-Leto worth moving to in 2026?

Born and raised here. Rent is about $1,424/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $296,100, which seems about average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Egypt Lake-Leto? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in South for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The school system scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Eastside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions
- The traffic scene is decent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 6 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is underrated.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
