Hey everyone, Just moved here 17 months ago and Poverty rate is 11.7%, which is around average. You can expect to pay around $1,424 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Should I be concerned? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Bought a house here in 2018 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone down slightly since then.
