Top 5 things I love about El Cajon

Random thought, Poverty rate is 16.1%, which is higher than I expected. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I overthinking this? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
