Working remotely from El Cajon — my experience
I've been working remotely from El Cajon for 2 years now. Here's my take:
The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.
Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options
If you're looking for a place to WFH, El Cajon is worth considering.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Downtown and Southside are perfectly safe.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.
