Working remotely from El Cajon — my experience
I've been working remotely from El Cajon for 15 years now. Here's my take:
The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.
Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Fiber available in most areas — no complaints
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options
If you're looking for a place to WFH, El Cajon is underrated for remote workers.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it's been pretty safe in my area.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Check out the Downtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.
