Moving to El Mirage for work -advice?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm single, late 40s, and Median household income is $74,764, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 72--F, so it's warm year-round. Homes are going for about $282,000 on average. Rent is about $1,682/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. job market used to be much reasonable but now it's challenging.

Came here for family and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The safety is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
