Relocating to El Paso from Tampa

Quick one - A friend just bought in Sunset Heights for K and I'm not sure if that was smart. The airport connections are pretty good which matters if you travel.

Not to be negative but the traffic has gotten unbearable. I still like living here overall though. Just keeping it real.

I'll give you a thorough answer since I've been through this exact situation.

I moved to Cloudcroft area from Pittsburgh about 12 years ago. Initially I missed home a lot. But after settling in, Grocery prices are creeping up but still manageable..

A few things I'd recommend:
- Check out Cloudcroft area and Horizon City for housing
- Don't judge the whole city by downtown
- Download the local transit app even if you drive

The biggest adjustment was nightlife. Traffic has gotten noticeably worse in the past year.. Overall I'd give El Paso a 8/10 for singles.
