Is El Reno getting better or worse?

Hi all, We have two kids and Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Crime rate is something to consider -El Reno sits at 211.8 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. What would you do?

Moved here from Minneapolis about 11 years ago. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

The food scene here is solid. Tons of great farm-to-table places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in tech. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like seafood.
