Things El Segundo needs to improve

Hello, Been living here since 2017. Rent is about $2,547/month for a decent place. With a population of 16,863, El Segundo is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Fairview for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- The weather scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..
