Should I move to Elberta or stay in St. Louis?

Hey, I've been here for 15 years and It's a a small town city with about 2,209 people. With a population of 2,209, Elberta is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The walkability is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The dating scene is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Uptown) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
