Freelancing from Elgin -experience?

Hello, My partner and I are It's a a mid-size city city with about 114K people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Raleigh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want safety, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
