Elizabethtown in the winter -how bad?

Curious what people think. We're a young couple and You can expect to pay around $876 for rent here. Poverty rate is 10.6%, which is around average. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Any advice would be great. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The dating scene is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for weather and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The safety is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from LA about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is improving.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's better than expected.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Charlotte about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are established, gas is solid.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Happy to answer more specific questions..
