How much do you pay for rent in Elk Grove Village?

So, Poverty rate is 5.1%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $95,216, which feels pretty solid for the area. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Active local events and festivals
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are affordable, gas is decent.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in East. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.
