Military spouse here. Homes are going for about $338,300 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Elk River sits at 59.8 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. You can expect to pay around $1,269 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
