Alright, I'm a remote worker and Rent is about $2,206/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $438,200, which is pretty steep. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this?

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Atlanta about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is challenging.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much pricey but now it's better than expected.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from LA about 3 years ago. The main reasons were family and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
