Random thought, Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- The job market scene is solid
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
