Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $56,565, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $56,565 in Elkton. With a population of 15,867, Elkton is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 8 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
