Been meaning to ask this. Homes are going for about $644,300 on average. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $157,891 in Ellicott City. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Should I be concerned? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.
