The good and bad of living in Ellicott City

First post here. Crime rate is something to consider -Ellicott City sits at 45.0 per 100K. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Let me know your thoughts.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 8 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
